Documents and Publications

 

A number of documents and publications have been developed to guide IOOS efforts at the global, national, and regional levels. The intent of this site is not to duplicate existing resources; therefore, the links below direct the user to existing clearinghouses of information related to IOOS activities.

 

Over time, this site will provide access to additional documents developed to guide NOAA’s IOOS projects and activities.

 

• NOAA Coastal Services Center’s IOOS Document Library NOAA CSC's IOOS document library provides a comprehensive list of IOOS-related press releases, conference proceeding and meeting summaries, Congressional testimony, National and International data standards, regional business plans and terms of reference, etc.
• National Federation of Regional Associations (NFRA):  Downloads NFRA provides a number of links to national and regional IOOS documents, including regional development guidelines, functions, lessons learned, etc.
• Ocean.US Publications and Reports: This site provides access to a number of documents that drive and guide U.S. IOOS activities, including the First Annual U.S. IOOS Development Plan, Data Management and Communications (DMAC) Plan for Research and Operational Integrated Ocean Observing Systems, etc.
• Group on Earth Observations Document Library: This site provides access to all GEO- and Global Earth Observation System of Systems (GEOSS)-related documents that are available to the public.
• DMAC Steering Team and Expert Groups Letter: This is a copy of a thank you letter sent to the DMAC Steering team and Expert teams.
